I brought a power trim unit in for repair and they had no idea how to repair it and actually lost parts to it and had the nerve to charge me 312 dollars to ruin it so anyone using there services be warned
Brought my Seadoo Switch in for a faulty starting solenoid and IBR, along with the installation of a battery shut off switch and extra high capacity battery. What an awesome job and they couldn’t have been more professional.It took a few days before it could get looked at for sure, but what do you expect from a successful business that’s high in demand? All I can say is “Thank You!” to Mike and the rest of the team, for getting my boat back into perfect working order! Of note, my boat was just outside warranty for you ‘authorized Seadoo service’ seekers so it wasn’t a factor here.
Be aware with this marina, they don't perform work they say they do when they give you bill!!! I'm finding out they don't do what they suppost to do because I'm doing the work my self and I see nothing got taken apart and clean. After $1500 bill, it does leave you with a very sour taste specially because problem still persist, stay away!!!
My husband made an appt 2 weeks in advance for a "1 hr diagnosis" on a Saturday. He dropped off the boat a day earlier and didn't hear anything back. He called in on the following Tuesday and was told it would be looked at the next day. Didn't hear anything yet again so he called back on the Thursday and was told it wouldn't be looked at, so he picked up the boat. Terrible business because if the motor wasn't repairable he was going to buy a new one from them.
Lousy service. I bought a new boat from them and they didn't set it up correctly. I had to bring it back to get the trailer fixed and I have had to fix it a number of times since. Had a problem with the motor that I had to research to tell them how to fix it (they sell the motor but don't know how to fix them). My other boats I had no issues with, the new one has been a nightmare. Simple fixes other than the motor, but I have another mechanic that diagnosed the problem in minutes, not three weeks. Also, they tried to overcharge me for a part where the shelf had one price and the system had a higher one.I challenged them on it and then they refunded me the difference. While I did know one of their mechanics, he did not work on my boat and all of this information is fact. My friend no longer works there anyway. Their response is incorrect, like their service.
My wife (Wendy) and I recently purchased a boat that was on consignment at Lakeview Marine. The person (Joe) that we dealt with took the time to speak to me over the phone regarding this boat. Joe had all the info that I needed to make the 250 km trip worth while. When we drove up to his place of business he treated us with respect and professionalism. We did end up buying the boat. Joe bent over backwards to make sure that we were satisfied with the purchase. If I lived in the Port Perry area I would not hesitate to do business with him again. Well done Joe! It,s nice to see that there are good owners out there that care about the customer. Thanks again. Wendy and Jim. Well an update on our boat. We are very unhappy with the guy that owned the boat. He assured us that the boat had a new floor put in it. Well half of the floor was done but not fiberglassed. Thanks for not telling us the truth now we have to spend a large amount of money to put a complete new floor in. Thanks again for not being honest. I guess we didn't get a good deal on the boat after all
Lakeview Marine I would NEVER recommend this marina to anyone! Worst experience of my 25 year boating life. They charged over double the quoted rate when the boat was dropped off for winterization and storage and then would not release the boat until I paid their extortion! DO NOT EVER USE THIS BUSINESS UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BE RIPPED OFF DRASTICALLY! IT'S TYPICAL OF A BAD BUSINESS TO ATTACK IT'S CUSTOMERS INSTEAD OF MAKE IT RIGHT! MY BOAT INTERIOR WAS RUINED BY THIS COMPANY AND THEY HAVE NEVER RECTIFIED THE SITUATION. I PAID THEIR INVOICE THAT WAS TRIPLE THE QUOTED AMOUNT AND THEY NEVER COMPLETED THE WORK WHICH WAS TO INCLUDE SHRINK WRAPPING THAT WOULD HAVE PROTECTED MY EXPENSIVE BOAT!
