We stopped in for breakfast and while the hostess and server were both very nice, the overall experience was disappointing. I appreciated the effort to make the place feel “Canadian” with Dollarama-style decorations ( still had stickers on them) and even a random bag of Muskoka coffee beans on display. Unfortunately, the coffee wasn’t Muskoka as I expected — it was watery, $3.49 for bottomless, and gave me heartburn. I ordered the eggs Benedict for $14.99, which came with deep-fried home fries. The hollandaise sauce was grayish and had way too much pepper, and the peameal bacon portion was thin. My companion ordered the scramble bowl, which was supposed to be made with 3 extra-large eggs, but it definitely didn’t seem like it. The toast was spread with margarine instead of butter, and it had a terrible taste. The staff were friendly, but the food quality and value didn’t live up to the price of $50 for both of us. Sadly, not somewhere I’d go back for breakfast.
I'm a Senior ordered on line pancakes and omelette waited 15 mins drive there to pick up only to find no line order was not there. Reordered pancakes waited another 10 mins in car and paid full price plus tip. No courtesy or discount since I waited total half hour. Online orders for this place is Terrible Service.
The eggs were good, the hashbrowns were decent but the sausages are too fatty, deep fried and pink in the middle. You dont get refills on coffee which is generally a given in most breakfast dinners. It cost 60 dollars to get thier big breakfast and a corn beef hash breakfast plus 2 extra sausages. Maybe I'm just spoiled but my local breakfast stops provide better service and good and are more economic.
Service was very friendly, food was ok, wish that what I ordered reflected what was on the menu. American cheese or what some would classify as a Kraft single is not the same as cheddar, alas my fellow diners seemed content with their meals and as the day was not about moi I did not mention it. Prices were also quite high for portion sizes.
Do NOT go here if you want a proper eggs benny; asked for medium eggs and got hard; hollandaise sauce although homemade tastes NOTHING like hollandaise, more of a spicy dijon sauce vibe? we paid 45 dollars for 2 eggs benny and an orange juice! The homefries were the only thing that I'd give a 10/10 perfectly crispy
Very clean restaurant, staff was very nice. Only issue is I asked for well done bacon, it wasn't well done. Ordered scrambled eggs, they came out runny. Didn't eat my breakfast because of that. Overall probably wouldn't go back.
I agree with Sharon on the food. Homefries were cold and tasted like heated up day olds, the whole breakfast was cold. Sausage was sliced down the middle, cold and dried out. Toast was supposed to be rye but sure didn't look or taste like it. Not enough butter on it either, cold and dry. Eggs were ok but cold. The 2 girls were excellent service though. Food so mediocre and super expensive Lynn & Carol
