I tried the Fico Fusion Cuisine fried rice and kothu roti. Their website says these are "Sri Lankan dishes" made by an "experienced chef," but honestly the food tasted nothing like real Sri Lankan cuisine. Fried Rice: They claim it's a popular Sri Lankan-style fried rice, but anyone who has actually eaten Sri Lankan fried rice will know this is wrong. They added soy sauce, green peas, and used frozen vegetables - this tasted more like Thai-style rice, not Sri Lankan. Nothing was fresh. Kothu Roti: Also very disappointing. They call it a "must-try Sri Lankan dish," but the taste was poor. No cabbage, no proper onions, barely any carrot, only a little egg just for smell. This is not how real kothu is made. The prices are $22 and $20 - more expensive than other Sri Lankan restaurants. Charging more is fine, but don't mislead customers by calling these authentic Sri Lankan dishes. As Sri Lankans, we know our food and flavours. Please learn proper Sri Lankan fried rice and kothu roti before advertising them as authentic. Overall: waste of money and time. Very poor taste. Not recommending this place.
First time eating here. Decided to come based off reviews. Absolutely was not disappointed! Immediately greeted with smiles. I ordered the tandoori crunch sandwich based on a Google review and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. My fiance had the butter chicken and loved it. Very friends staff. Will definitely be back!
Stopped by Fico Fusion for a meal and called ahead to ask about halal options. We were happy to hear that all the chicken is halal, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken parmesan, loaded nachos, soup of the day, and chicken kottu roti. For the kids, we got a meal that included grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables, along with a drink and ice cream. Everything tasted great and was well prepared. The kids meal was a bit on the bland side, but it seemed designed that way to suit younger palates. The waitress was friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. If you're in the area and in the mood for a place with a diverse menu and halal chicken options, Fico Fusion is worth a visit.
The food is amazing! We got the apps , pastas, wings , kothu roti and desserts and everything was top quality. The service was amazing as well . Chef Ram personally came out to check and make sure we enjoyed our food. The server always checked in to make sure we had everything we need. Will definitely be coming back
Yummy spot for Indian fusion, the mutton rolls were spicy with lots of flavour, we had the chicken roti dish it was pretty mild in comparison. The hostess was very kind and helpful. Worth a visit for sure!
I had the Fried rice and Kothuroti from here and they were delicious. My family loved the dining in experience. We also catered from this place for a gathering at home all my guests loved it. Owner Ram is very friendly to deal with. Highly recommended.
Nothing special here . Tasteless and depressing food. Wouldn’t go back if someone else paid I think they could cut the menu in half and only cook meals that have fresh ,good quality ingredients. This isn’t food worth leaving the house for . Every other restaurant in Port is also serving the same thing . Off the same Sysco food truck . P.s Dried sprinkled parsley on the plate doesn’t make the meal fancy …
